Video-sharing service TikTok has reiterated the use of its moderation mechanisms to remove any potentially harmful or inappropriate content from its platform, saying Pakistan is among the top five markets where the largest volume of videos was removed over violations of its community guidelines. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has decided to immediately block Bigo and issue a final warning to Tik Tok to put in place a comprehensive mechanism to control obscenity. The PTA advised people not to use public WiFi services, warning of possible cyber attacks through messages pretending to contain Coronavirus information. According to Quality of Service (QoS) surveys conducted in third & fourth quarter of 2019 by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Ufone has shown maximum compliance to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) out of all Cellular Mobile Operators (CMOs) followed by CMPak, Jazz and Telenor, respectively.
