Pakistani IT Industry Explores New Opportunities in Nordic Markets Through Oslo Innovation Week 2026

Pakistan’s information technology industry is exploring new business and investment opportunities in Nordic markets following the participation of a 30-member Pakistani technology delegation at Oslo Innovation Week 2026, organized with the support of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA).

The Pakistani delegation held important meetings with Norwegian investors, business leaders and policymakers to explore opportunities for collaboration in information technology, artificial intelligence and deep technology.

The visit also focused on identifying potential joint ventures, investment opportunities and partnerships for Pakistani technology companies in Oslo and the wider Nordic region.

As part of the engagement, Pakistani and Norwegian business leaders participated in a bilateral business networking session at the Norwegian Parliament, providing an opportunity to strengthen business connections and explore areas of mutual interest.

The delegation highlighted Pakistan’s capabilities in artificial intelligence, software engineering, enterprise automation and green technology, showcasing the country’s growing technology and engineering talent to European stakeholders.

P@SHA is targeting an increase in Pakistan’s IT exports to $15 billion by fiscal year 2031. The association’s chairman said Pakistani software houses were being directly connected with European companies and investors to expand business opportunities and strengthen international partnerships.

Dr Shoaib Ahmed Khan said Pakistani engineering talent received positive recognition during Oslo Innovation Week, reflecting the potential of local technology companies to compete in international markets.

P@SHA said it would work to convert the connections established in Oslo into formal agreements, business partnerships and investment opportunities.

The initiative reflects Pakistan’s broader ambition to expand its IT exports beyond traditional markets and strengthen its presence in emerging global technology markets.
