TMUC Higher Education Group celebrated its prestigious Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony at Serena Hotel, Islamabad, bringing together distinguished national leadership, senior British university officials, international education partners, faculty, parents and graduates in a landmark celebration of academic excellence, global collaboration and student achievement, says a press release.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. Muhammad Najeeb Naqi Khan, President of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, as Chief Guest, and hosted by Dr Faisal Mushtaq TI, Founder & CEO, TMUC Higher Education Group. The distinguished gathering included Sardar Masood Khan, Former President of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and President of CLAS, and Mr. James Hampson, Country Director, British Council Pakistan, alongside prominent national and international academic leaders.
A defining highlight was the special participation of Professor Anthony Woodman, Vice-Chancellor, University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, who specially travelled from London to Islamabad to deliver the keynote address at the graduation ceremony and visit TMUC Higher Education Group campuses. His visit marked a historic milestone as TMUC and the University of Hertfordshire celebrated ten years of strategic academic partnership, reflecting a decade of commitment to internationally recognised British higher education, academic excellence, graduate employability and global learning opportunities for Pakistani students.
Addressing the graduating class, Vice Chancellor Prof. Anthony Woodman congratulated the students on their academic accomplishments and highlighted the importance of employability, ambition, adaptability and a global outlook in an increasingly competitive and technology-driven world. He emphasised that higher education must remain closely connected with industry, innovation and evolving professional opportunities, encouraging graduates to embrace lifelong learning, critical thinking, creativity and leadership. Reflecting on the ten-year partnership, his keynote underscored the shared commitment of the University of Hertfordshire and TMUC to preparing internationally competent, professionally equipped and future-ready graduates. His visit to TMUC campuses further provided opportunities to strengthen institutional engagement and explore future academic collaboration.
Adding further international distinction, Professor Lyndsay Duthie, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Academic Partnerships and Industry Engagement, University for the Creative Arts (UCA), United Kingdom, accompanied by Ms Catherine Riley, Assistant Director, International Partnerships, UCA, specially travelled from London to Islamabad to attend the graduation. Their participation also marked eight years of academic partnership between TMUC and the University for the Creative Arts, highlighting a longstanding collaboration focused on creativity, design, innovation, entrepreneurship and industry-oriented education. The presence of senior leadership from both British universities reaffirmed TMUC’s growing role in strengthening Pakistan–UK academic relationships and internationally connected higher education.
Welcoming the distinguished guests, Dr Faisal Mushtaq congratulated the Class of 2026 and acknowledged the invaluable contribution of parents, faculty and international academic partners. Describing graduation as the beginning of a new journey of responsibility and lifelong learning, he emphasised that universities must prepare students not merely to earn qualifications but to create meaningful impact in society and the global economy.
“A university’s greatest ranking is not in a magazine, but in the employability of its graduates,” remarked Dr Mushtaq. Reflecting on the transformative influence of artificial intelligence, he further stated, “In an age of Artificial Intelligence, creativity is not a soft skill; it is the ultimate human skill.” He encouraged graduates to remain intellectually curious, professionally adaptable, entrepreneurial and courageous enough to create opportunities rather than simply wait for them.
Chief Guest President Dr Muhammad Najeeb Naqi Khan congratulated the graduates and highlighted the importance of education in developing responsible leadership, active citizenship and public service. The ceremony was also attended by Mr Zeyad Ahmed, Senior Business Manager, NCC Education; Mr Waqar Shah, Deputy General Manager, Pearson Pakistan; and Mr Saad Wasim, Regional Advisor, South Asia, University of London. Building upon the distinguished 40-year educational legacy of The Millennium Education Group, TMUC continues to advance transnational higher education in Pakistan through internationally recognised qualifications, academic innovation, industry engagement and a strong emphasis on graduate employability.
