Alibaba Cloud and Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate AI and cloud skills development in Pakistan, marking a major step toward empowering the country’s youth with globally competitive capabilities.
The agreement, signed by Mr. Hank Shao on behalf of Alibaba Cloud’s authorized partner and Mr. Naveed Ali Baig for Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, establishes a collaborative framework to launch dedicated training centers under Alkhidmat’s flagship Bano Qabil platform.
The collaboration—formalized between Alibaba Cloud (Singapore) Private Limited and Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, with support from Cognix Solutions Private Limited—will see the establishment of two state-of-the-art Alibaba Cloud Training Centers. These will be located at the Bano Qabil Incubation Center in Karachi and the Bano Qabil Innovation Center in Lahore.
These centers will deliver specialized training in Artificial Intelligence and cloud computing, enabling participants to pursue internationally recognized certifications and build career-ready digital skills.
To ensure quality education, Alibaba Cloud will also conduct continuous faculty training and certification programs, aligning instructors with global standards and emerging technological trends.
As part of this initiative, the partnership will host recurring AI hackathons under the theme “AI for Pakistan’s Future,” encouraging young innovators to develop impactful, technology-driven solutions for national challenges. Top-performing teams will receive recognition and support to further scale their ideas.
Alkhidmat’s Bano Qabil platform has already established itself as one of Pakistan’s largest youth development initiatives, with over 1.15 million registered students and 90,000+ certified graduates nationwide.
Notably, this collaboration is non-commercial, focused on long-term impact—enhancing employability, fostering innovation, and contributing to Pakistan’s growing digital economy.
This MoU represents a significant milestone in strengthening Pakistan’s technological ecosystem and building a future-ready workforce equipped with advanced AI and cloud expertise.
