Global Neighbourhood for Media Innovation (GNMI), a leading media development organization in Pakistan, in collaboration with the East-West Centre (EWC), proudly announces the PeaceFLIX International Conference and Awards Ceremony.
This event aims to celebrate the successful culmination of PeaceFLIX project by recognizing and promoting influential women and men as peacebuilders across diverse sectors in Pakistan. The conference is scheduled to take place at the Margala Hotel in Islamabad on the 27th and 28th of February 2024.
The Conference will honor through awards the significant contributions of Pakistani women as key decision-makers in peacebuilding, alongside the crucial support provided by male counterparts. This event serves as a platform to highlight their key roles in community-based peace initiatives and to establish collaborations among global peacemakers, regional organizations, journalists, and local peacebuilders.
The President, Director, and Senior Manager of EWC Hawaii (US), representatives from the Government of Pakistan, policymakers, civil society organizations and international peace experts from Australia and Philippines, will grace this event with their physical presence. The conference agenda includes keynote speeches, interactive workshops, breakout sessions, and panel discussions, providing a forum for substantive discussions and the exchange of insights among participants.
