Ethiopian Ambassador Meets with Minister of State for IT, Shaza Fatima: Discussions on Digitalization and Cooperation in IT Sector
In a significant meeting, Ethiopian Ambassador Jamal Bakr Abdullah met with Pakistan’s Minister of State for IT, Shaza Fatima to discuss various matters of mutual interest, including digitalization, e-governance, and strengthening cooperation in the IT and telecom sectors between the two countries. During the meeting, Shaza Fatima emphasized the rapid growth of Pakistan’s IT and telecom sector and highlighted the government’s commitment to digital transformation under the Prime Minister’s vision.
She stated, “The current government is committed to transforming Pakistan into a cashless economy and promoting digital payments across the country.” Fatima also expressed Pakistan’s readiness to support Ethiopia in its digitalization efforts and urged for enhanced collaboration in the ICT sector.
The Ethiopian Ambassador, Jamal Bakr Abdullah, praised Pakistan’s advancements in ICT infrastructure and expressed Ethiopia’s interest in benefiting from Pakistan’s experiences in this field. Both sides agreed to foster stronger ties in IT and telecom, with Ethiopia looking forward to future cooperation.
