The Karachi Port Trust (KPT) has successfully managed the import of completely built-up (CBU) electric vehicles from Chinese automaker BYD, marking a significant milestone for Pakistan’s automotive industry.
The shipment arrived at Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT), a private terminal within KPT, as announced by the port authorities on Tuesday. This is the first-ever commercial consignment of BYD electric vehicles in Pakistan, reinforcing KPT’s commitment to environmental sustainability and a greener future.
